Aida Fernandes Matias

Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, London, on Saturday, July 2, 2022, Aida Matias in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Ilidio Matias. Dear mother of Isidro (Lucinda) Matias and Aida (Jose) da Costa. Loving grandmother of Mike (Rita) Matias, the late Vera Da Costa, Paula (Brian) Casimiro, Jessica (Luis) Carmona and great- grandmother of Diego Matias, Brian Matias, Aria Casimiro, Amelia Casimiro, Alejandro Carmona and Belinda Carmona. Aida was a wonderful, loving, caring woman who touched so many lives; she loved everyone and enjoyed being around family and friends. She will be missed by many family and friends in Canada, Portugal and France. Aida was the eldest of eight children and is now reunited with her husband and all the loved ones she had lost. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St. at Hamilton Rd, London, on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Portugal at a late date.
