Aldona Pocius

Our loving mother Aldona Pocius, passed away with family at her side in her 88th year at Victoria Hospital on Monday, November 18th, 2019. Born in Kaunas, Lithuania she enjoyed an idyllic childhood with her parents and brother, all of whom she adored. Following the war she immigrated to Canada eventually settling in London, Ontario where she would raise her own family of four: Vida (Vic) Jakubaitis, Ruta (Mike Hensen), Darius (Tracey) Pocius and Lina (Jason) Evans. She was beloved by eight grandchildren: Stephen (Charlene) Jakubaitis, Matthew (Amy) Jakubaitis, Alexa Jakubaitis, Michaela, Grace, and Ryan Pocius, Elise and Lauren Evans. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Layton, Isla and Blake. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. For more than 30 years she worked in Microbiology at Victoria Hospital with people she enjoyed every day. Her dying wish was that all of her children live happy, healthy lives and that they be loved.
Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service which will be celebrated in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place with a private family interment at a later date.
