Amy Maureen Boone

Peacefully, on Friday, November 15, 2024, with family by her side, at Extendicare Port Hope, Maureen Boone (nee Boyne) formerly of London ON at the age of 93 . Beloved daughter of the late Vincient and Marguerite Boyne. Predeceased by her brothers, Jimmy, Vaughan, John and Michael and her sisters Pauline, Barbara, Catherine and Mary. Husband of George 2002. Survived by her daughters Gail (Rob) Cleaver of NZ, Lisa (Rick) Jenkins of Nfld and Cheryl Jenkins of Labrador and her son James (Jean) Boone of ON, Predeceased by her son John (1950). Grandmother to Patrick (Jessica) of AB. Christopher (Kyra) of ON, Jessica of Nfld, Tanner of Nfld, Stephanie (Jim) of AB, Amanda (Matthew) of Nfld. Craig (Serena) of AB. Tyler (Lindsay) of Labrador .Great Grandmother to Harper, Nixon, Aiden, Zackary, Markus, Frederick, Hazen, George, Eveyln, Ellie and Rya. Special nieces and nephews; Pat (Carol), Meaghan (Shawn), Sarah (Vic), Darlene (Lawrence), Brent (Sandi), Val Mcmurtrie and John McQueen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mom grew up in Fredericton and was married in 1949 to George Boone. They both settled in London in 1957. Mom retired from her last job at Brescia College. Mom played a large part in the raising of all her grandchildren. Mom was very committed to her faith. She was involved in the CWL, choirs at Mary Immaculate, St. Michaels and St. Peters, and gave communion to the sick. Most recently and after years of being on her own Mom moved closer to her son Jim. For almost 2 years mom thrived in her new home. All the Staff and Residents at Port Hope Extendicare welcomed her in. She was cared for with compassion and dignity.

 The Funeral Service will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Holy Family Mausoleum, London, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.    In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be to the charity of ones choice.
