PIESCHKE-MURRAY, Anna Marie1936 - 2016Born in Woodslee, ON, in July 1936, Anna died at her home in Hamilton, ON in February, 2016. Predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Murray (1975). Anna was much loved and a loving cousin who grew up on the family farm in Woodslee, the fifth of eight children born to the always welcoming family of Leonard Jacob Pieschke (1984) and Mary "Frances" Vickerd (1990). Anna had a sincere desire to find and then meet all of her relatives, no matter how difficult that might have been or distance that had to be travelled. She had a very real interest and concern for all family members; those she couldn't personally visit, she'd make honest inquiries of to any who might know, and she worked diligently to record family births, deaths and marriages along with continuing searches for old family photos to share with others. At times, Anna would be confused and even lost, but she had the unique ability to talk to anyone with warmth and dignity, and bravely had no problem asking others: "Help me find my way". The many difficulties in her life only endowed her with a warm personality, a kind nature, and an enduring inner strength against many adversities; with her special goodness of soul, she had the great gift of an inability to ever utter an unkind word about any other person. As people come and go in our lives, there are those, like Anna, whose impact on others has the quiet power to change lives for the better; her life was a rare gift to all. Anna, we will miss your welcome visits, your friendly calls and your warm email notes. You are a special Child of God whose kindness and brave heart so enriched we who were blessed to call you "family". You will never be forgotten. We know you are with the angels, our beloved cousin Anna. Joe, Kate O'Neil and Family.(O'Neil Funeral Home 519-432-7136)
