Anne - Marie Kinahan

KINAHAN, Anne-Marie, age 53, died at VON Sakura House hospice Saturday March 25, 2023. Beloved wife of Robert Thomas Salter. Predeceased by parents Pauline and Michael Kinahan of Lambeth, Ontario and Lisa (Pimlatt) Kinahan of St. Thomas, Ontario. Anne-Marie grew up in Lambeth, attended high school at Regina Mundi, completed her Ph.D. at Carleton University, and lived in St Marys, Ontario, where she enjoyed her life with her service dog, Eve, reading extensively, and walks with Robert so long as they did not interfere with her love of hockey. In doing academic research and writing scholarly articles for publication, Anne-Marie distinguished herself as an elegant thinker and positive voice for rigorous scholarship. Anne-Marie was especially grateful for the medical care she received at the London Regional Cancer Program, and for the support her palliative care nurses Alicia and Andrea and PSW Mary provided in St Marys. Everybody at VON Sakura House made the end of Anne-Marie’s life as meaningful and comfortable as possible. Anne-Marie was overjoyed to be able to share time with Kira, Scott, Gemma, Charlotte, Rebecca, Ulrich, Edie, Pascal, Mary, Christina, Pascal Jr., Sharron, Feng, Serena, Matthew, Karen, Alvera, and Susanne. Anne-Marie expressed much relief that in her most grievous times her cousin Genevieve (Bob and Kierra) came to her aid and supported her. Paula and Steve’s and Suella and Scott’s, and Lisa and Frank’s kindness and thoughtfulness helped Anne-Marie approach death with grace. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in London, Ontario at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
