Antonio de Mederios Caloura, aged 85, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on October 17,2023. He was born on August 16, 1938 in Fenais da Ajuda, Sao Miguel, Acores to his loving parents Denis and Maria Jose Caloura.
Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Maria das Merces Caloura and dearest father to his children Claudio (Sue), George (Gloria), Elizabeth (Paul) and Eric (Lisa). Antonio was a cherished grandfather of Robyn (Mathew), Kevin (Farin), Matthew (Danae), Thomas, Nicole (Omar), Alexandre, Lucas and Emily. Great-grandfather to Kaycie, Mackenzie and Azriel.
Cherished by his brother Alberto Caloura (Leontina) and his sister-in-law Carma Caloura (late Manuel). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his siblings, Isabel Amaral, Jose Caloura, Idalina Mederios, Daniel Caloura, Manuel Caloura, Honorinda Leite, Eduardo Caloura.
Visitors will be received on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street at Hamilton Road, on Saturday October 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
The Caloura Family wish to extend our special thanks to Dr. Ian Ball and his Staff in the CCTC unit at Victoria Hospital London, for making Antonio’s last days comfortable and dignified and allowing the family to gather and spend his last moments with him. Rest in Peace, dear Antonio, as your love and legacy endure in our hearts.
