Antonio Goncalves

The family of Antonio Rodrigues Gonçalves is saddened to announce his passing at University Hospital in London, Ontario, on April 13th, 2022, in his 85th year. He was born on May 24, 1937 in Boivão, Valença do Minho, Portugal. Beloved husband of Augusta for 63 years. Loving father to Rosa and her husband David De Melo, Maria and her husband Valdemiro Demelo, and Arlindo of London. Loved by his grandchildren Jeffrey (Giselle), Christopher (Julie), Ryan (Adrienne), Brittany (Jon), Matthew (Chantée), and his great grand children, Isaac, Maya, Brynn, Nathanial, and Gabriela, whom he adored. Loving son of predeceased parents, José Maria and Umbelina Gonçalves and survived by his brother Manuel, Arlindo, José, and sister Brazilia, and predeceased sisters Olinda and Rosa. As well as many nieces and nephews.Antonio will always be remembered for his calm demeanor, his loving advice, the hard work he overcame to provide a better life for his family, and many other things. He will be missed dearly and live on forever in the hearts of the ones he loved.Visitors will be received on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, Hamilton Road at Elm St., London, on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
