Assunta Maria D'Alessandro

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother Assunta D’Alessandro peacefully at University Hospital, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of the late Domenico D’Alessandro (1999), adored mother of Concetta and Ronald Homm, Rocco D’Alessandro, Alex and Angela D’Alessandro, Paola and Wayne Fasek. Treasured Nonna of Rachel Homm, Kyra, Tyson and Elyse Fasek, and Anthony D’Alessandro. Sister to the late Cristina (late Domenico) DiCesare, late Cesidio (late Nunziata) Petrella, late Panfilo (Adua) Petrella, late Salvatore (Edera) Petrella. Sister-in-law to Mario and Vittoria D’Alessandro, Elio (late Franca) D’Alessandro, late Enzo (Maria) D’Alessandro, Panfilo (Loredana) D’Alessandro. Loving Zia to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France.  Assunta’s resilience and determination to live every cherished moment to its fullest is a true inspiration to her family. Visitors will be received at O’Neill Funeral Home at 350 William St on Monday November 14th from 4:00-7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle St, on Tuesday November 15th at 11 am. Entombment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice may be made.
