With his family at his side, at Victoria Hospital, on Friday, June 20, 2008, Augusto Luiz Moniz in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Nadir Moniz. Loving father of Paul Moniz (Cindy) and Sonia Pridham (Shawn). Grandfather of Lauren, Carson, Emerson, Bryce and Austin. Brother of Jose Xaraz (Fatima) of Toronto and Maria Angelina Pimentel of Sao Miguel, Açores. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Portugal. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church (Elm St. at Hamilton Rd.) on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
