After a long and valiant battle with diabetes and kidney disease, Betty Marie Olsen (nee McKnight) passed away March 15, 2009 in Continuing Care at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital in the company of her family.
Loving mother of Jeff Olsen (Lisa) and Jennifer Olsen-Ambrose (Chad). Proud grandmother of Ashley Olsen (Donnie) and Brandan and Alexa Ambrose, and great-grandmother of Wiatt and Nathan Olsen-Parker. Dear sister of Norm McKnight Jr. (Edee) of Mississauga. Special niece of her aunt "Fred" (Winnie Burt), and also loved by her many cousins. Predeceased by her beloved husband Axel Olsen (1998), her mother Betty McKnight (1962), and her uncle Ron Burt (1999). Betsy will be greatly missed and vividly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Thursday, March 19 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Service by the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ladies Aux. #4060 Thursday at 7:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Association would be appreciated.
