SISTER BRENDA (FRANCES) SEDLAK
of the community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London died peacefully on Saturday September 3 , 2011 at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Sister was in her 88th year and 67th year of religious life. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Jennie Stancek and sister-in-law Mary Sedlak both of Windsor as well as four nieces and a nephew and the members of her religious community. Predeceased by her parents Emrich Sedlak and Catherine Julia Yambor formerly of Czechoslovakia and Chatham and her brother John Sedlak. Sister spent many years as a homemaker in various convents throughout London Diocese. In her later years, she visited the sick and elderly at St. Mary's Hospital in London. She also cherished her membership at the African violet club and raised many prize winning varieties of the flower. All services will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011. Evening Prayer at 4:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
