Sister Caroline O’Connor (Concessa) of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London died peacefully on March 25, 2009, at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, London. Sister was in her 95th year and 75th year of religious life. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and the Sisters of her religious Community. Predeceased by her parents Daniel O’Connor and Agnes Krauskopf, formerly of Dublin, Ontario; her brothers James, Joseph, Norman and sisters Mary, Sister Rose Theresa CSJ., Agnes and Vony. Throughout her years in religious life, Sister taught school in London, Woodstock, Leamington, Windsor and Sarnia, often serving as principal. After retiring from teaching, she was involved in various ministries including catechetics in Kelowna, B.C., and chaplaincy in Windsor public hospitals. During her years in Windsor she established an art program specializing in mouth painting. In 1990 Sister founded Retired Seniors’ Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Windsor that provides transportation for homebound seniors. Ministry to the aged and people in need was her passion. For Sister Caroline, projects begun were projects completed. She will be remembered as a faith-filled woman with a big heart. All services for Sister will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 484 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. Wake Service Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday, march 30 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
