Peacefully at Kensington Village, on Thursday April 16, 2009. Clayton James Byrick in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Marie (Savage) Byrick (1983). Loving father of Mary Margaret Pakulis (Wally) of Chatham, Robert Byrick (Susan) of Toronto and Bill Byrick (Joanne) of Peterborough. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Katharine, Janine, Amy, Laura, Wilson, Andrew, Kaitlin and Lindsey. Predeceased by grandson Ben and sisters Pauline Leinweber of London and Irene Hamilton of Stratford. Born in Stratford, he served in the RCAF during the Second World War and worked for 35 years as an engineer on the Canadian Pacific Railway. Clayton will be fondly remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and friend. Visitation will be held at the O’Neil Funeral Home 350 William St. London, on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Andrew the Apostle Church (Huron & Pack’s Lane) on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, beside his wife Jean.
