Daintry Annwill Farr

November 14, 1918 — March 16, 2023

London, Ontario

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Daintry Annwill Collins McBane Farr of London Ontario on Thursday, March 16th 2023, at the age of 104. Predeceased by her mother Myrtle Wilhelmina nee Broughton of Thamesford and Father Claude Leonard Collins of Mount Brydges. Beloved wife of Frances (Frank) P. Farr (predeceased) by her first husband Donald Murray McBane (predeceased). Sister of Faith Mc Kay and William Collins (predeceased). Dear mother of Debra McBane Kubu and her husband Richard and William Murray McBane and former wife Tammy. Also loved by her grandchildren Aaron Kubu, Katelyn McBane, and Bryden McBane. Daintry was crowned the first ever Miss London title in 1937; which all her life proudly displayed her Miss London banner. Daintry worked at Smallman and Ingram downtown London. Shortly after her crowning she married Murray. Her wedding was on Valentines in the evening at First Church Of Christ (Disciples) London. Shortly after she moved to NDG in Montreal. After residing in Montreal moved to Toronto until the death of her husband Murray. Daintry then spent the rest of her life in London and Grand Bend at the cottage. Daintry (Daint) as her family would call her loved her mother so very much and missed her terribly when not living in London. Her mother taught her many of the finer things in life and entertaining.  Daintry would often have afternoon teas for her friends and family. Daintry was known for her strong-willed nature, kindness, quick wit, and sense of humour. She valued love and beauty in life and encouraged many in her life. Daintry will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
