With great sadness we announce that Allan has passed away suddenly in his home in London, Ontario. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his surviving father, George; his children and their partners, Jennifer, Cynthia and John, Bryan and Emily, and Seth and Daniel; his grandchildren, Yvonne, Ceara, Uilliam, Caitlyn, Christopher, Jamie, and Jean-Luc; his siblings, Glenn, and Sheila; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Erica, Laurie, Debbie, Andy, and Neil. He will be dearly missed by his close friend, Shawn, and everyone online who he called a friend. He will be fondly remembered by his ex-wives, Debbie and Michele.
In heaven, he will find the love and comfort of his mother Vivian and his sister, Susan.
Allan will be remembered for his kind and caring nature. He raised his kids lovingly and fairly, encouraging a constant state of growth and learning. He encouraged everyone in his life to strive to be the best person they could be. A creative soul who found joy in the virtual and in the simple pleasures in life (such as his ever-present coffee). He found a sense of self through his connection to God and helped others find comfort through the Lord. He loved his cats and treated them more than fairly. He always tried to have a smile for everyone and a kind word to go with it.
As expressions of sympathy and condolences, the family would ask for donations to be made to either the Alzheimer Society of Canada (https://alzheimer.ca/en/Home/Get-involved/Ways-to-donate) or to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (http://www.camh.ca/en/get-involved/donor-services-and-faq). There will be no public ceremony; and the family will be having a private scattering of his cremated remains in Pinery Provincial Park.
