Delmar Tomas Demelo

Peacefully, and surrounded by his family, Delmar Tomas Barbosa Demelo passed away on the 17th of February at the age of 85 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Lucia.  Dear father of  Nemesia (Tony), Delmar Jr. ( Lori 2014), Alcino, Anselmo (Jitka), Ilidio, Lucrecia (Stuart), Richard (Becky). Loving grandfather of Kenneth, Fallon, Vanessa, Nathan, Peyton, Mitchele, Cameron, Haylea, Austin, James, Cassie, Grant, Lillie, Wesley, Allie, Ava, and Drew; and great-grandfather of Beatrice, Thomas, Peter Jr., Antonio, Gabriel, Ellowyn, Donovan, Fletcher, Isabele, Audrey . Also survived by his sisters, Hilda (Arthur), Dolores (Cesar), Gloria (Manuel), sisters-in-law, Rosa, Diane, Conceicao, his brother-in-law Frank (Fatima) and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, Jacinto and Rosa; and his  brothers, Mario, Jacinto, Adolfo, Nicolau and Dinarte. Delmar was one of the founding members of the Portuguese marching band. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Wednesday, February 22,  2023  from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.  p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St at Hamilton Rd, on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
