Demitro Choma

Peacefully, with his wife and children at his side, on Sunday, April 24th, Demitro Choma in his 100th year. Devoted husband of Vira Choma. Beloved father of Irene Hoekstra and Peter (April) Choma. Loving grandfather of Derek (Marie-Andree) Hoekstra, Rachel (Dan) Peel, Taylor Choma and Meghan Choma. Great-grandfather of Lucy, Rhys and Theo. Much loved by Walter, Iryna, Mia and Marco Galypchak, Svitlana (Andriy) Zubyak, Nazar (Ulyana) and daugher Melaniya Zubyak and Taras (Iryna) Zubyak, Anna (Larry) Nicols & family and Alex (Debbie) Pirus & family, all family by marriage. Demitro will be missed by his sister Maria and many family members in Ukraine. Predeceased by Katarina Choma (2002) and Carl Hoekstra (2020). The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the staff of the St. Joseph's Hospice, London for their compassionate care of Demitro. Visitors will be received in the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME, 350 William Street, London, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 707 Nelson St. London, on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 8 a.m. Panachyda on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Interment will take place in St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W, Oakville, ON on Thursday, April 28 at 1:30 p.m. Online condolences & Guest Book at
