Elizabeth Emily Black

Peacefully in her 89th year, with family by her side on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, Elizabeth “Betty” Black joined her husband in eternal rest. Betty is survived by her daughters Claire Mercer and Liz Perkins (Dave). Dearly loved grandmother of Michael (Chris), Caitlyn (Brittany), Brian (Tawnya), and Jennifer (Kyle). Great-grandmother of Alexa and Kiera.

Betty is survived by her twin sister Claire Wells (John). Predeceased by Claire and Liz’s father Michael Joseph Phelan (1981). Also predeceased by her 2nd husband John Black (2016), as well as her siblings Jack Baldwin (Pat) and Norman Baldwin (Mary). Betty also leaves behind many extended family members and in-laws including William and Mary Nother, Betty Casey, James and Evelyn Simpson and Leanne Phelan. 

At the family’s request cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held in the spring in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, ON. Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
