Emil Stanislaw Sokalski

Peacefully, at University Hospital in London, on Monday, May 24 2021, Emil Sokalski passed away in his 97th year. He leaves behind his lovely wife Aniela of 77 years. He will be greatly missed by his children, Cesia (Albert) Zarzeczny, Frank (Ana), Sokalski, Roman (Tracey) Sokalski, his grandchildren, Michael (Susan), and Paul Zarzeczny, Marek (Laurie) Sokalski, Andrew (Sara) Sokalski, Anthony (Claudia) and Alex Sokalski, and his 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his infant daughter. Emil was born in Poland in 1925 immigrating to Canada in 1972. He would help in sponsoring other family members immigrate to Canada, and was able to expand and be proud of his Polish-Canadian family. He retired from University Hospital in the 1980s. Emil loved to garden, and spend time with family. His faith and family were the light of his life. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church on Thursday, May 27, 2021 followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
