Born November 16, 1922 in Ukraine, Eugene Roman Lisowyk passed away peacefully and comfortably on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at University Hospital with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Sheila Lisowyk (nee: Towton), Eugene was predeceased by his first wife Doris Lisowyk (nee: Whaling, 1980). Loving father of Andre (Anne), Rosemary Christensen (Erick) and Paul (Jane-Ayn) and dear step-father of Kathy (Conrad), Karen (Tom), and Dennis (Kim). Proud grandfather of Rachel, Nathan, Sarah, Charlie and Jamie, and also loved by his step-grandchildren Derek, Brent, Sarah, Kyle, Rachel, Katie and Kelly. Eugene “the Tailor” wove many relationships in the London business community, especially in the Ukrainian Community. His family extends deep gratitude to the staff of McCormick Home, on Maple Grove, and is grateful for the tireless, skilled and compassionate medical teams at University Hospital, especially in the Palliative Care Unit. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. George’s Church, (1164 Commissioners Rd. W.) on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
