Peacefully at Glendale Crossing Nursing Home, London, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, Felice Masciotra in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Rosaria for 75 years. Loving father of Alex Masciotra (Susan) and Angelo Masciotra (Adriana). Dear grandfather of David Masciotra (Laura), Danny Masciotra (Hayli), Melissa Masciotra (Michael) and Stephanie Masciotra (Cheryl). Great-grandfather of Mason, Reese, Palmer, Dylan, Deseree, Hannah, Ryleigh and Owen . Also survived by many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his parents Alessandro and Angela Masciotra, his sister Lucia Pannunzio (late Antonio) and his brother Armando Masciotra (Emma).Felice, a World War II Veteran of the Italian Army, married his beloved Rosaria in Agnone, Italy in 1948. In 1959 Felice immigrated to Canada, followed by his wife and sons in 1963. Many will understand the sacrifices it took to leave their homeland and begin anew. Here, devoted to each other by love, incredibly hard work, many sacrifices and genuine respect for each other, they would celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary.Together, they worked for 30 years at St. Joseph's Hospital where Felice was the Supervisor of Housekeeping, and where both were beloved by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Felice was honoured as President of the Saint Onofrio Association Committee which hosted reunions of Agnonese paesani for over a decade in London.For 25 years he and Rosaria cared for his parents in their home; an outstanding example of affection, devotion and enduring loyalty. The strength of Felice's character and quality of his many accomplishments have gained the respect of his family and many friends throughout the community.The Masciotra family offers their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of Victoria Hospital, including Cardiologist Dr. Dennis Wong, and to the staff of Glendale Crossing Nursing Home, London.Visitors will be received on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street at York, London, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
