Gerarda Maria Van den akker

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Van Den Akker (Van Erp) on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Meadow Park Nursing Home, London in her 98th year. Mary was predeceased by her husband Lambert (1982) and her sons Bert (1980) and Paul (2016)(Laura Gibson). She leaves behind her loving children Nell Howse (John), Rickey Ager, Ken (Janet), John (Frances), Fritz (Dianne), Teresa Johnston, Mary Joosten (Joseph), Elizabeth Lam (Desmond) and Angela Andersen (Paul). She will be fondly remembered by 40 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland. Mary will be missed by her life long friend Nolda Hendricks and long time neighbour Violet Watton. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Meadow Park in London for their love and caring support of Mary in her final journey. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Monday, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
