Gerda Moonen

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Gerda Moonen in her 90th year. She is survived by her daughter Rose Ellerton (Jerry), grandchildren Dan and Samantha and great-grandchildren Robert, Emily, Jacob, Jordon, Blake and Pearl. Also survived by brothers-in-law Toine Moonen, Sjeng Moonen, Jean Moonen and sister-in-law Hanny Moonen. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years Hubert (2015), parents Wilhelm and Rosalie Hanssen (Ritzen), brother Jef and his wife Lene, brothers and sister-in-law May (Bertje), Harry (Louise), Piet (Germaine), Maria (Zef), Lieske (Harry), Meta and Lieske. Immigrating to Canada in 1958 she made a good and loving home. Gerda was a long standing member of the Catholic Women's League, and the Dutch Canadian Society. Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private family graveside service has taken place.
