It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful husband, father, Papa, uncle, brother in law, and friend, Giuseppe (Joe) Muccioli, who left this earth far too soon on Sunday November 5, 2023, after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.
Born to Francesco and Rosa Muccioli (predeceased) in Ruvo del Monte, Italy, Joe travelled to Canada as a teenager to reunite with his sister, Maria Crecca (predeceased) in 1963. In 1969, he began creating a beautiful life with his loving wife, Alba. His three daughters, Rosanna (Bob), Jenny (Mario), and Natalie (Geoff) will forever miss him. Joe’s greatest strength lay in his love for family, his generosity, and his willingness to share his wisdom and insights with everyone who met him. Joe will also be missed as a respected uncle to his many nephews and nieces. His love for his four grandchildren, Luke, Jarvis, Riley, and Josie knew no bounds. He was their hero. They will deeply miss their Papa.
Joe rarely sat idle. He started each day by saying “what do we do today?” His talents were many: a welder, an artist, a musician, an athlete, a hockey analyst, a world traveller, a cook, a gardener, and a life coach. There was not much Joe could not or did not do!
Our family would like to thank all the staff at the London Regional Cancer Program, the nurses in the Oncology unit LHSC, and his nurse, Vaneesh (St. Elizabeth’s).
Visitors will be received on Wednesday, November 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday November 9 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle St., London, followed by Entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
