Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Country Terrace Nursing Home on Sunday, November 1, 2009, Honorinda De Melo in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Manuel De Melo (1979). Dear mother of Caesar de Melo (Dolores), Teresa Da Ponte (Urbano), Emanuel de Melo (Kathleen), Dorothy Drake (Doug), George de Melo and Eleanor Bennett (Chris). Loving grandmother of Anne-Marie, Michelle, Dolores, Jennifer, Jorge, John, Urban, Nevin, Andie, Jeremi, Justin, Brianne, Breila, Brittany, Darla, Dannielle, D.J., Mathew and Lindsay. Great-grandmother of Mia, Angelica, Christian, Kaidence, Peyton, Chloe, Chase, Riley, Tegan and Corey. Sister of Arturo de Melo, Antonia Baptista and Orania Catunto. Predeceased by four brothers and sisters. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church (Elm at Hamilton Rd.) on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
