Hubert Johan Moonen

Peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, with his family by his side on Monday, December 14, 2015 Hubert Johan Moonen in his 92nd year. Beloved wife of Gerda Moonen (nee: Hanssen) for 62 years. Dear father of Rose Ellerton (Jerry Bain) of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Samantha (Dave Stanley) and Dan and great grandfather of Robert, Emily, Jacob, Jordan, Blake and Pearl. Hubert enjoyed quality time with all his grandchildren and great granchildren and was a founding member of the Dutch Canadian Club of London. Survived by his brothers and Toine, Sjeng, Joe (Hanny) Predeceased by his brothers May (Bertje), Harry (Louise), Piet (Germaine), sisters Maria (Jef), Leiske (Harry) and sisters-in-law Meta and Leiske Moonen. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Friday, from 10:30 - 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church, corner of Dundas St. & Oakland Ave. on Friday at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
