Ilene Drouillard

DROUILLARD, Sister IleneThe Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada, London Neighbourhood, announce the death of our dear Sr. Ilene Drouillard in our Care Centre, June 8, 2015. Born in 1928 in McGregor, Ontario, she was received into our religious community in 1956 and given the name of Sr. Dorothea. Lovingly remembered by all her CSJ Sisters, her sisters Catherine Gino, Genevieve Brook (Raymond) and brother Gerald (Marge). Predeceased by her mother Kathleen (O'Neil), father Norman, her sister, Sister Mary Loyola, and brothers Vincent, Joseph, James, Eugene, Bernard, and Michael. Sister trained as a Laboratory Technician, holding positions in St. Joseph Hospital in both London and Sarnia. On retirement Sr. Ilene ministered for fourteen years in our Guest Wing at Mount St. Joseph, warmly welcoming the family members of persons awaiting surgery at University Hospital. A move to Holy Rosary Convent, Windsor in 1999 brought her closer to family members and gave her the opportunity to share life, ministry and prayer with beloved friends. In 2007 Sr. Ilene moved to our new residence on Windermere Road where she gently and quietly joined with the community in making it our new home. We thank the staff of our Care Centre for their constant and attentive care. All services will be held at the Sisters Residence, 485 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Father Richard Charette presiding.
