At Victoria Hospital London, on Friday, June 19, 2015, Iola Plaxton deVeber in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Dr. L.L. deVeber. Dear mother ofGeorge deVeber of London, Dr. Gabrielle deVeber (Dr. David Mikulis) of Oakville, Christine deVeber (Steve Boismier), Michele deVeber and EileendeVeber (Dale Cebulski) all of London. Loving grandmother of Mikaela, Madeleine, Sandy, Nico, Nicole, Liah, and Adam. Great-grandmother of Dezman. Also survived by her brother George Plaxton (Toni), Anne Plaxton, Dawn Plaxton and Jim Plaxton. Predeceased by her son LeBaron Charles "Barrie" (2002).Iola will be remembered as a talented fine-artist and art historian, human rights activitist, environmental protection advocate and dear wife, friend, sister, mother and grandmother. Her life was full of adventures and travel with her lifelong love, her husband Barrie. She had an inner beauty, wonderful sense of humour and philosophical approach to life's stresses. Towards the end of her life she was at peace and she died surrounded by her loved ones. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at which time the Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel. Interment will be private.
