Irene Traczuk

Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care, London, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Irena Traczuk in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Wlodzimierz "Walter" Traczuk (2004). Dear mother of Thaddeus "Ted" (Olia) Traczuk, Richard (Alicja) Traczuk, Sister Barbara Traczuk R.P.B. and Stanley Traczuk. Cherished grandmother of Karol "Chip" (Kathy), Gabriel (Wesdon), Walter (Julianne), John (Rachel), Steven, Jim (Carol) and Michael (Krysten). Great-grandmother of Belle, Aiden, Ben, Evie, Myles, Owen, Alessia, Aria, Lyla, Calvin, Colton, Riley and Casey. Predeceased by her parents Francisek and Teofila of Poland, her sisters Gienia Pawlowski and Ola Wiewiorowski. Irena was born in Tur-Dolny, District Jedrzejow, Poland. World War 11 interrupted her childhood resulting in the relocation of her family to Siberia and Persia. After the war she settled in England where she met her future husband Walter. They emigrated to Canada in 1952. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Westmount Gardens for their many years of tender loving care of Irene. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Prayers at 4:00 p.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 419 Hill St, on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
