James Gordon Skinner

James (Jim) Skinner passed away peacefully in London, ON, on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Predeceased by the love of his life Judith Skinner (2015). Loving father of Jeffrey (Angela) and Brad (Mary). Proud grandfather of Clayton, Nathan, Rachelle and Nicole. Also survived by his sisters Grace Fitzgerald and Noreen Wesenger. Predeceased by his brothers Vic, Grant, Eugene and his sisters Doris, Helen, Audrey, June, Geraldine and Marie. Jim was born in Dresden, Ontario to Ivah and Harold Skinner. Jim met Judy soon after moving to London and not too long after they were married. Jim was the co-owner of Hudson’s Department Store for a number of years, then opened up Skinners Mens Wear until retiring. Jim loved playing baseball as a youth, taking care of his ’58 Pontiac, boating, watching hockey, baseball and talking business. Jim and Judy enjoyed living in Thorndale and Grand Bend. Their passion was travelling all over the world together. Jim was a true
gentleman and was always smiling. As Jim always said “Every day is a good day, some days are better”.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London. Visitors are required to contact the funeral home to register for the visitations atofh@start.ca Family and friends are invited to watch the live streamed visitation at https://www.twitch.tv/ofh_london Visitors are required to wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, and provide their name and phone number for contact tracing. Entombment at 2:30 p.m. in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
