Joao Correia Martins

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joao "John" Martins on Monday, January 29, 2018, at University Hospital, London surrounded by love and family. Loving husband and devoted companion of sixty years of Ines. Cherished father and mentor of Elizabeth (Mike) and Luisa (Mark). Treasured grandfather and best friend of Erin and Michael. Remembered and loved by a supportive extended family and many nieces, nephews and their families. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Friday at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Memorial donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation (www.lhsf.ca) Joao's family is grateful to Dr. Petlrich and Dr. Mkorbrada and his team at London Health Sciences. A special thank you to his nurse Sacha for the compassionate care given to Joao.
