Joao Amaral Moniz

It is with deep sadness that the family of Joao Moniz announces his passing on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Joao is finally at peace after a long, hard struggle with cancer. Joao was born April 15, 1957 to the late Vergilio P. Moniz and Maria Da Conceicao Moniz. Dear father and grandfather of Melissa Moniz and her family. Also survived by his brothers Jose, Denis (Ilda), Antonio (Debbie), and sisters Helen (Claudio), Connie (Jose) and Venancia (Humberto) all of London. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Maria (Jose). Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Tuesday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, (Elm St. at Hamilton Rd.) on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Joao's family would like to thank the people of CCAC, VON, and Dr. Hamilton for their compassionate care of Joao.
