John Cornelius Van hooydonk

Peacefully, at his residence on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, John Cornelius van Hooydonk in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Anna Catharina van Hooydonk (van Geel). Cherished brother of France van Hooydonk (Brenda), Case van Hooydonk (Karen), Annie Bax (Louis), Ben van Hooydonk (Lisa), Corey Elliot (Bob), brother-in-law Theo Vanderaa and sister-in-law Joanne van Hooydonk. Dear brother-in-law of John van Geel (Nancy), Jack van Geel (Joanne), Adrian van Geel (Marianne) and Jacqueline De Pace (Tom). John is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jacobus and Joanna van Hooydonk, his sister Mary Vanderaa, his brother Louis van Hooydonk and his brother-in-law George Elliott. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbours. John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. He was always at the ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Monday, February 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. The service will be live streamed on the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish YouTube site, which can be accessed at www.standrewtheapostle.ca In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca) would be appreciated.
