Dear father of Tony and Anabela Alves of London and Teresa and Luis Ferreira of Thorndale. Loving grandfather of David Jose Ferreira, Cristina Paula Ferreira and Nicholas John Ferreira of Thorndale, and Andre Alves and Tiago Alves of London. Survived by his sister Alice and brother-in-law Tony Nunes of London, nephew Jose Nunes, niece Rose and her husband Gord English and children of London, brother-in-law Roger Ferreira and sister-in-law Zelia Ferreira of London, nephew Tony and his wife Monica Ferreira and their daughter of Toronto, nephew Fernando and his wife Sandra Ferreira and their daughter, sister Estrela and brother-in-law Manuel Pinto of Portugal, sister Conceicao and brother-in-law Jose Lourenco Neves of Portugal, sister Lurdes and brother-in-law Sebastiao Duraes of New York, USA. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church (Elm at Hamilton Rd.) on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Entombment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, Parkinsons Foundation or the Alzheimers Society.
