Heaven has another angel. With family by his side, Joseph Maria de Gouveia passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife and rock Maria. He was the cherished father of Natasha de Gouveia Basacco (Larry) and proud Grandfather to Ivy. Dear brother to Odilia Gouveia, Connie Haight (Raymond), Lucy Ashton (Rick MacDonald), and Frank Gouveia. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who sprinkled his life with fond memories. Predeceased by his parents Odilia and Mariano and brother-in-law Jim Ashton. Please join us to remember Joe. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service In the chapel at 1:00 p.m. A private entombment will take place in the Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
