Jozef Dabrowski

DABROWSKI C.S.M.A, - Rev. Father Jozef (Joe)At St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, February 21, 2009, Rev. Father Jozef Tadeusz Dabrowski (senior) of the Congregation of St. Michael of the Archangel (Michaelite Fathers), died in his 75th year. Father Jozef was born and ordained in his native Poland and came to Canada in 1966. He ministered as Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, London; Our lady Help of Christians Parish, Wallaceburg, and St. Francis Xavier Parish, Tilbury. After serving over twenty years as a military chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, Father Jozef returned to the Diocese of London. He then served as Pastor at North American Martyrs Parish in Thamesville, after which appointment he retired. Visitation and prayers will be held in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 419 Hill St., London, on Thursday, February 26th from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m with Bishop Ronald P. Fabbro, C.S.B. as the main Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
