It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Sister and Aunt - June Barbara Lal, peacefully in her sleep on Friday June 26, 2020. June was seventy-three (73) years old. Born to Arjoon and Haffie Lall, in Georgetown, Guyana, June married young, and approached motherhood with the same assured confidence and compassion that defined how she tackled all of life's adventures. She explored a life in London, England, but settled ultimately in Toronto, Ontario along with her mother, brothers and sisters. There they built full lives with each other's love and support. June traveled to India extensively through the middle of her life, pursuing a spiritual peace and healing. Her immense inner strength and courage fueled these journeys aimed at finding a higher truth.
June was mother of Charmian (Isle of Man, UK), Natasha (Houston, TX, USA), Craig (Georgetown, Guyana) and William; the sister of Philip, Ingram, Camille and Shireen; aunt of Nicole, Anita, Stefan, Vaughn, Adrian, Mathew, Fiona and Ryan. As a Mother, June was "more than we could ever expect". She can truly be described as the living embodiment of the expression: "There's No Love Like a Mother's Love". June was a brilliant and beautiful person with a generous spirit. She will be missed dearly by all.
As we express profound gratitude for and Celebrate the Life of our Mother, Sister and Aunt, the family invites you to join us in a private ceremony at Oakland Cemetery, 390 Oxford St. W., London, ON N6H 1T3, on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11:30 am
