For 71 years beloved husband of Anele "Nellie" Ausrotas whomhe called "my precious and only one". Dear father of Kristine Young(Brian) and Richard (Stina). Loving grandfather of Kimberley (Glen),Tricia (Corey), Brad and Kristi, and great-grandfather of Fiona andEvangeline. George emigrated from Lithuania in 1947 to Timmins,Ontario, working in forestry for Mountjoy Timber Co. and theHollinger gold mines to create a new life in Canada. In 1957, nowmarried and a father, he moved his family to a home in Nilestownwhere he resided for the rest of his life. He proudly worked as agarage attendant for the London Police Service and upon retirement hebecame a part-time prison guard for the Ontario Provincial Policeuntil he was 90 years old! George was also an avid fisherman, lovedthe outdoors and tending to his vegetable garden, particularly hisbeets and potatoes. The family wishes to express their deepestgratitude for the excellent support and coordination of servicesprovided by the LHIN, and the exceptional and compassionate caregiven by the Henley Place staff during the last few weeks of George'slife. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350William St., London on Sunday, July 14 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
