Manuel Ferreira Simoes

Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Victoria Hospital, London, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 Manuel Ferreira Simoes in his 98th year.  Beloved husband of the late Maria Simoes (2011).Dear father of Aldina Amaral (Tony 2022), Maria Lourdes Rodrigues (Jose), Joao Simoes (Maria), Ormezinda Simoes and Margaret Sa (Albano).  Loving grandfather of 7, great-grandfather of 12 and great-great-grandfather of 1.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, Brazil and São Miguel, Açores, Portugal. Predeceased by his granddaughter Elizabeth Simoes (2017),  his siblings Maria de Gloria Mederios, Carlos Simoes, Teofilo Simoes, Senhorinha Simoes, Almezinda Machado and Maria de Espirito Santo Furtado.  Manuel respectfully declines flowers for his service and memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice or a mass offering. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Thursday, November 17,  2022  from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St at Hamilton Rd on Friday, November 18, 2022  at 11:00 a.m., followed by entombment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
