Maria Virgolina Cabral

With her husband of 58 years holding her hand as she took her last breath, Maria Virgolina Cabral, born January 12, 1948, leaves behind her loving husband Joaquim (Jack), her four children, seven beautiful grandchildren, sister, brother, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends. Reunited in God’s love with her mother Maria das Mercês, her father Herminio de Melo  and younger brother Herminio de Melo.  The family would like to thank the medical team at LHSC as well as the London Regional Cancer Program for their commitment to Maria’s care. A special thank you to Joe, Maria’s nurse from Paramed as well as PSW’s from St. Elizabeth – Maria, Tessa, Monique, Tamara and Gen and PSW’s Tracey & Ashley from LHSC who provided conversation, care, kindness and compassion to our mother as if she was their own. Visitors will be received on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St, London, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Thursday morning.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Maria’s honor to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, London Branch, at  www.braintumour.ca/locations/london/  Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
