Peacefully in her home, on Friday, September 18, 2015, Maria Lurdes De Melo passed with her family by her side in her 94 year. Beloved wife of the late Fernando De Melo (2000). Dear mother of Fernando De Melo (Peggy), Lourdes Da Ponte (the late John), Carminha De Melo, Carlos De Melo (Carma) and Filomena Cabral (Martin). Loving grandmother of Chris, Sheri, Jason, Joshua, Melanie, Stephanie, Jeff, John, Mike, Nathan, Derek, Kevin and Nick. Loving great grandmother of Tori, Gracie, Leah, Joshua, Tristyn, Madison, Aiden, Olivia and Xavier. Also survived by her sister Eduarda Barbosa of Fall River, MA. Predeceased by her siblings Alexandrinha, Manuel, Joao, Horacio and Guilhermo, all of Sao Miguel, Azores. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, on Tuesday, September 22, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, (Elm St. at Hamilton Road) on Wednesday, September 23 at 10:00 followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
