After suffering a stroke on Thursday August 29th, our beloved mother and grandmother (avó) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday September 2nd. Maria was a dedicated and proud mother of 8 children; Lucinda, Maria (Bob), Jim (Kim), Linda (Kevin), Rose (Joe), Chrisy (Cam) and predeceased by her son Antonio (infant) and daughter Pat (Gus). Devoted grandmother of 14 grandchildren Jen (Jay), Kelly, Kristen (CJ), Scott (Sandra), Alexandra (Rob), Lindsay (Michael),Mitchell, Max (Lia), Jayme, Gabby, Sydney, Emma and Olivia and predeceased grandson James (infant). Great-Grandmother of Justin, Nolan, Ava, Dominic, August, Auston, Blake and one on the way. Mom lived her whole life devoted to God and family, and predeceased by her great-grandson Mason. She was an avid gardener, proudly showing her labour of love each summer. Thank you to the Emergency staff and doctors at University Hospital as well as the 6th floor nursing staff and doctors.
Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, 377 Oakland Ave. at Dundas St., on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
