Maria, loved by everyone who had the pleasure and opportunity to know her, passed away during the early morning hours this past Thursday, March 7, 2019. A proud family woman and Roman Catholic, Maria entered eternal life prepared and peacefully. The family is blessed for having 95 wonderful years with her. We will take her spirit, empathy, courage, honesty and strength of character along with many culturally-rich life lessons with us, always. Maria lived the majority of her life in London, Ontario, after immigrating to Canada in 1954 with her two sons, Henry and Rudy, to join her husband Giovanni. Lovingly, Maria was predeceased by her siblings Annina, Montreal, Québec; Umberto, Abruzzo, Italy; Angelo, Abruzzo, Italy; Domenico, Abruzzo, Italy; Teresa, Toronto, Ontario, and Rosina, London Ontario. Maria is survived by her sister, Assunta, in Montreal and sister-in-law Antonietta, in Abruzzo, Italy. Proudly, Maria is survived and will be remembered by her son Henry and wife Kathleen (nee: Dandeno) of London, Ontario, and son Rudy and wife Nicoletta (nee: Bellisario) of Woodbridge, Ontario. Maria will be sadly missed by her 4 grandchildren and their spouses who cherished her: Ana, Paolo and wife Diana, Sandra and husband Vince, John and wife Kimberly, along with her 9 great-grandchildren that her love continues to live within every day. In her final chapter of a wonderfully fulfilled life, Maria became a resident at Mount Hope Nursing Home here in the city of London. We are thankful for the tender care and attention she received during her stay. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni Pasquini on January 4, 2009. A husband and man loved by his family. Visitation will be held between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London On N6B 3C7. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, London ON, N5W 3R3, followed by an interment later in the afternoon in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to any of the following is appreciated – Mount Hope Nursing Home, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Mary's Church Building Fund.
