Maria do Carmo Reis

After a long full life, Maria “Carminha” passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at University Hospital in London, Ontario surrounded by love. She is survived by her children Manuel, Alvaro and Lucinda, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

She was born in Portugal and immigrated to Canada from Moitas Venda in 1961. She lived most of her adult life in Winnipeg, Manitoba along with her husband where she raised her children. Maria was a charismatic woman full of warmth and humour who truly loved life. Her happiest moments were being surrounded by her family and cooking for all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Visitors will be received on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish on Saturday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. Her body will then proceed to her final resting place in Portugal.
