Maria Vecchio

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Vecchio on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at University Hospital. Maria (Bifano) Vecchio will be deeply missed by her husband of 52 years, Albert Vecchio, and by her four children: Pamela Vecchio, Lucy Caranci (Luciano), Pina Vecchio-Sills (Steve Sills) and Mike Vecchio (Chantal DeCaluwe). Nonna Maria is and always will be loved by her grandchildren Jessica, Kimberly, Stefano, Giuliano, Gabriella, Jaryn, Jordan and Matteo. Nonna will be remembered also by her great-grandchildren Chadwick and Joey. Maria will be sadly missed by her sister Carmela Marano and her brother-in-law Alessandro Marano. Friends will be received by the family in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, (345 Lyle at York) on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
