POISSANT, Sister Marie Annette The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada, London neighbourhood, announce the death of our dear Sr. Marie Annette, in our Care Centre, March 8, 2016. Born in 1938 in Grande Pointe, and received into our religious Community in 1960, Sister is lovingly remembered by all her CSJ Sisters, her siblings Annette Urban, Clara (Buck Dupuis), and Victor (Diane), as well as many nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Florisca (Ouelette), father Ovilla, her brother Lionel, sister Rosemarie Everaert, and brother-in-law Ken Urban. Trained as an RNA Sister cared for the sick in London at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marian Villa and Mount St. Joseph; in Alberta at St. Joseph's Hospital Galahad, with the V.O.N. in Edmonton as well as at the Royal Alex Hospital. While in Sarnia, Marie Annette served as the Director of Volunteer Services at St. Joseph's Hospital, later volunteering with the V.O.N. Family Visiting Program. Returning to London she reached out to the home bound through Com Care. On retirement she dedicated her energy as a volunteer with the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, Wellspring, St. Joseph's Hospitality Centre, and St. Joseph's Hospice, as well as companioning the Sisters living in our Care Centre. Always generous with her time and heart, Marie Annette modeled a deep confidence in God's abiding love. All services will be held at the Sisters Residence, 485 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation Friday, March 11, from 2-4 and 7-8 with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. with Father Richard Charrette presiding.
