At Marian Villa, London, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Daly in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of the late James Daly (1974). Mother of Carolyn and Dennis Knievel, Patricia and Wilford Shiell, Jim and Laura Daly, John Daly and Ann Daly. Grandmother of Corinna, Jason and Lisa Knievel, Madeleine, Martha, Mary and Meghan Shiell, Keenan and Sara Daly, and Nikki and Jennifer. Sister of Jean Smith. Aunt of Sharon, Rhonda and Craig. Predeceased by a baby daughter, Joanne, her sister May Martin, brothers Weldon and George Smith, and niece Marsha Jazey.

Mary was born in Mount Brydges to Wallace and Martha Smith and lived on the family farm on the 4th concession of Caradoc Township. She moved to London as a young woman and met her husband, Jim. She devoted her life to her family, especially her special daughter, Ann. Thank you to the staff at Grandwood, and Marian Villa, 2nd and 4th floors, for being kind, gentle and caring.

Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, (345 Lyle at York) on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
