At home surrounded in love by his family on
Wednesday, July 24th, 2019, after a long,
courageous battle with cancer, Nelson Narciso, of
London, Ontario, and the Greater Toronto Area
passed away peacefully at the age of 39. Nelson
was the beloved husband of, Brenda, and daddy to
his precious, Payton. He is also survived by his
devoted parents, Luis and Tina, brother Brian
(Jackie), his grandmothers, Vavo's Albertina and
Valquiria, and many much-loved nieces and
nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins, in-laws, and
friends. Born at Old Victoria Hospital in London,
Ontario, Nelson attended Our Lady of Grace
elementary school in Aurora and WillowWood High
School in North York. Nelson then studied
business at Seneca College and at the University
of Toronto. In early adulthood, Nelson moved to
London and successfully ran a sector of the
family business there. It was in London that he
met his wife-to-be, Brenda. On August 19, 2006,
they married and enjoyed 13 close years together.
Nelson was someone you could trust, honest and
down-to-earth. This made him easy to talk to and
confide in. Nelson was also particular and
details-oriented, accounting for his business
success. This quality informed all that he did,
and often meant that he required more time than
average to complete tasks such as grooming
himself in the morning. As a result, Nelson was
affectionately nicknamed Turtle. He had a great
sense of humour and embraced this nickname.
Passionate about his saltwater fish tank, Nelson
was also a self-proclaimed fish geek. He was an
animal lover and always had a family pet...or
two, not including his fish. Nelson appreciated
life and lived it to its fullest. Prior to his
illness, he enjoyed boating and racing his
modified, super-charged Mustang with the license
plate: HumourMe. Most of all though, Nelson loved
his family and close friends dearly. He enjoyed
hosting and entertaining guests who always felt
welcome. He will be remembered for his kindness,
compassion, generosity, honesty, hard-working and
fun-loving nature and general bigheartedness.
Nelson will be greatly missed and forever
remembered. Visitors will be received in the
O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London
on Friday, July 26, 2019, from 2:00 - 4:00 and
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated in Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street,
London on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.,
followed by entombment at St. Peter's Cemetery,
London. Donations in memory of Nelson can be made
to the London Regional Cancer Program at 747
Baseline Road East, London, ON N6C 2R6 (www.lhsf.ca) or to
the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at 610
University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 2M9 ().

nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the
