It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga (nee: Tkacz) Lidzbarski on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at University Hospital London, in her 90th year. She died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Boleslaw (Ben) of 62 years. Dear mother of Edward, John and his wife Christina. Proud and loving grandmother of Benjamin. Olga was born in Bachow, Poland, on July 30, 1924. Her childhood was disrupted by WWII and her family was displaced to Belarus. Later, she was taken from her family to work on a farm in Germany. In 1948, she emigrated to Canada. She spent several years working in Montreal where she met and married Boleslaw. In 1963 her journey brought her to London. Olga had a great passion for gardening and a love of nature. She was devoted to her faith and family. Olga was a caring and a generous person who will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Olga was predeceased by her brother Roman and her sisters Maria and Jozefa. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, (419 Hill St.) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Prayers Friday at 8:15 p.m.
