Suddenly, at his home, in London, ON, on Friday,February 7, 2020 at the age of 62. He will bemissed dearly by his three children Maeghan(Brennan), Sean (Robin), and Michael, and theirmother Margaret (Devine) Conley, as well as hissiblings Steve (Heather), Mike (Janet), Joanne(Mark), Mary Lynne (Jody – d.), and Chris(Sheila), and a host of nieces and nephews.Paul was born in St. Catharines, ON, November 8,1957, to Thomas Patrick Conley and Betty (Cook)Conley. Always mechanically inclined, hegraduated from Bramalea Secondary School in 1975and Sheridan College with a MechanicalEngineering Technician diploma in 1982.Afterwards, he went on to a career inmaintenance, often finding himself working in theplastics industry. He married Margaret (Devine)Conley in 1985 and relocated to Guelph, ON, wherethey raised their three children.Although he was a quiet and private man, Paul hadan offbeat and dry sense of humour that wasapparent to those closest to him. He lovedcamping, and was happiest while with his family,either watching a sunset on the shores at thePinery or in the backyard of his father's houselistening to the Toronto Blue Jays on the radio.He was an eager driver to soccer games,basketball games, and feiseanna, always makingsure that everyone in the crowd knew which childwas his and how proud he was of them, much tothat child's embarrassment. At times, he workedin more remote regions in Canada, and he took agreat deal of pleasure in telling his family justhow cold it really was there. In his later years,Paul moved to London, ON, and found a love formusic and his new city. He began taking pianolessons and found happiness and purpose in hisvolunteer work at a local music hall, theAeolian. Through his hard work, and a strict dietand physiotherapy routine, he was able to reach apoint where he could stop taking insulin. Heloved his home and London community, and spentmany hours exploring local markets or at Victoria Park.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. onFriday, February 14 in St. Mary's Parish, 345Lyle St. (At York St.), London, ON, followed by areception in the parish hall.
